Frequency

STARS: - Dennis Quaid, Jim Caviezel

On the eve of the 30th anniversary of his father Frank?s (Quaid) death, John Sullivan (Caviezel) accidentally uncovers his dad?s old ham radio and switches it on.

Due to one of nature’s most beautiful sights (the Aurora Borealis) and just good old-fashioned luck, John is able to talk to his dad just days before his death. Seeing an opportunity to alter his past and avoid growing up without a dad, John convinces his dad to do things differently on the day of his death and therefore avoid being killed.

But as any good sci-fi fan knows ‘any action has a reaction’ and through his dad not dying as he was supposed to, John?s future is changed in unimaginable and tragic ways. John and Frank then have just a few days to change what has, in 1969, not yet happened and return things to the way they are supposed to be in 1999.

I realise that all this probably sounds confusing but Frequency is incredibly simple to follow and you will find yourself completely absorbed in it. Whilst the ending can be seen from the outset it is still a journey well worth taking and in fact Frequency was one of my favourite movies from 2000.
