Meet The Parents
STARS: - Robert De Niro, Ben Stiller, Teri Polo and Owen Wilson
PLOT:- Greg (Stiller) wants to propose to his girlfriend Pam (Polo) but needs to ask her dad in ORDER to do so. Thus they head on over to “meet the parents” which sets off a chain of events that are so unfortunate and devastatingly funny that Meet The Parents is a must see.
The supporting cast of Blythe Danner (Pam’s Mum) and one of my favourite actors in Owen Wilson (Pam’s ex) are very good and portray their characters extremely accurately if not somewhat over the top.
Somewhat reminiscent of the humour of Seinfeld every event interconnects with another somewhere down the track. Silly to the point of absurdity and extremely funny in parts.
As with a lot of American comedies nowadays there are unfortuantely a few sections in the film where it takes itself to seriously and let’s itself down. When it is simply being the comedy it is supposed to be it succeeds very well.
Without doubt the scenes in the film to look out for are: Dinner with the in-laws, the BBQ at the ex’s and the interrogation
Well worth checking out.

The mega hit in the fashion it should be presented rather than the bare bones rental only releases that are unfortuantely becoming so “fashionable” these days.
If you like the movie then you wont be let down by this “final” release.
