The Little Vampire

STARS: Jonathan Lipnicki, Richard E. Grant, Alice Krige

This is yet another New Line film released by Village Roadshow.

The plot is quite simple really. Average American family moves to Scotland as the father is one of the premier golf course designers in the world. Once in Scotland, the son ?? (Lipnicki) starts HAVING dreams about vampires and sure enough one, named Rudolph, flies in through his window and a friendship is born. Rudolph is part of a vampire family (Mum, Dad and 3 kids) who are searching for a mysterious medallion that will turn them back into mortals rather than bloodsucking vampires.

Can you guess what happens next? If not I’m very disappointed in you.

I guess for a kids movie though the plot isn’t too bad although adults will find this really tough going after about 20 mins of the cornball acting, jokes and the lacklustre script.

THE EXTRAS

For a new line release this is really light on in regards of extras. All that we have on this DVD is the theatrical trailer. Nothing else.

In a word: Zero

CONCLUSION

Is an Okay movie for kids, but not younger ones that may be scared easily as there are some violent bits… as stated before nothing wondeful about the movie or the acting, somewhat disappointing for Richard E Grant..
