Series 7 is a convaluted look at today’s society and how we will watch anything, especially if it involves other people’s misfortune. Who hasn’t been stuck in traffic due to an accident which everybody has to slow down to look at?

Series 7 is the hottest reality program on TV. Six contenders are chosen by lottery to participate in a lethal game of cat and mouse. Each member has a camera crew with them and they must find the other 5 members and eliminate them as best they can. They are provided with weapons and they must be the last one to survive to remain the champion contender. There are no life lines, no free spins and no bonus rounds. It is kill or be killed and reality TV at its best. How far will these people go for fame? The contenders are: Dawn (Smith) who is the reigning champion HAVING survived 2 previous rounds and if she wins this one she is free. She is also over 8 months pregnant. The 5 new contenders picked to challenge Dawn are Connie, Jeff, Tony, Franklin, Lindsay and Sheila.

Extremely disturbing and at the same time a wonderful satire, Series 7 takes a tongue-in-cheek view of reality TV and twists the competitors, so that even a mild mannered nurse can turn into murderer, to survive. Striking, explosive and confrontational this movie has it all, violence, romance, drama and it’s a game show….

Even though the film has an R rating and there are a number of graphic scenes but there is really nothing really visually graphic shown such as blood etc.

Series 7 is an excellent movie all round, and see if you can pick the twist, 2 seconds before the film ends.. wonderful!!
