Spy Kids
Stars: Antonio Banderas, Carla Gugino, Alexa Vega, Daryl Sabara, Alan Cumming Tony Shalhoub
The Cortez’s are a typical, happy family. Parents Gregorio (Banderas) and Ingrid (Gugino) with their children Carmen (Vega) and Juni (Sabara), but there is one thing the kids don’t know about their loving ‘boring’ parents. They are, or were, spies and when Gregorio and Ingrid get kidnapped after trying to help out their old agency, it is up to these young kids to save their parents and to save the day.
When the kids discover that their favourite children’s SHOW host is responsible for the disapparence of their parents and other spies. They also find out that he is creating robotic children that will become fighting machines, to take over the world.
I was a little hesitant in watching this film, but was pleasantly surprised with the way it was presented. It is really the 007 for kids and it delivered a wonderful script, plenty of action and had a very good cast.
