True Lies
Stars: Arnold Schwarznegger, Jamie Lee Curtis, Tom Arnold, Bill Paxton, Art Malik, Tia Carrere
Special Agent Harry Tasker (Schwarznegger), is living a double life. His wife Helen (Curtis) has no idea and thinks that Harry is just a boring computer salesman. Helen yearns to have an exciting life, and finds it in a used car salesman (Paxton) that claims to be a spy, but we know what he really is. When Harry finds out about Helen’s fixation for a more exciting life, he uses his influences to fix the so-called ‘Jackal’ and get Helen to complete some fake assignments. But when Helen is kidnapped by real terrorists, Harry’s secret identity suddenly clashes with his family life, when he has to rescue her and eventually save their lives and their marriage.
This film is so much fun, but all the credit really has to go to Curtis who creates an amazing performance as the action-yearning Helen. I would like to add a special mention to Tom Arnold, who I normally hate, but in this movie he is so much fun.
THE EXTRAS
*Theatrical Trailer Woo Hoo!!
I would like to add that this is ridiculous, for a James Cameron film. That guy keeps and documents everything, so there would have been plenty to put on this disc….
CONCLUSION
It is a good film, but unfortunately this DVD lacks in substance, which brings the overall rating down…
