Stars: Nathan Lane, Lee Evans, Vicki Lewis & Christopher Walken

Upon the passing of their father, Lars (Lane) & Ernie Smuntz (Evans) inherit a delapidated old house that is not the worthless heap they believe it to be. Instead the house was designed by Charles Lyle Larue whose creations sell for as much as 10 million dollars. With dollar signs flashing in their eyes, the boys decide to renovate the house, sell it at auction and live off the proceeds in splendor for the remainder of their days.

However there is one inhabitant of the house that they haven’t counted on…..the smartest, cleverest and antagonistic mouse that has ever existed. No matter what the Smuntz boys try the mouse outwits them time and time again. The stunts they try include rooms full of mousetraps, exterminators, poison and more.

Think of Home Alone and you’re well on track with what to expect here. The only difference being that this time Kevin is a mouse and the crooks, well they’re still bumbling idiots!

* from the cutting room floor : There are just under 15 minutes of cut scenes contained here. Most are simple extensions or variations on scenes already in the film although a couple were cut altogether. None are missed from the final cut.

CONCLUSION

The film will keep littlies entertained time and again but adults will struggle to get through the film once let alone endure subsequent viewings.
