You are everything I never knew I always wanted. Thus begins the somewhat stange journey that is Fools Rush In
Alex Winston (Perry) designs nightclubs for a living and when he gets bumped off a deserved promotion and trip to Tokyo he finds himself in Las Vegas. Whilist feeling a little down he finds himself in a little Mexican bar where he bumps in Isabella (Hayek) and thus begins a chain of events that will change his life forever.
After a few drinks, Alex and Issabella have a one night stand and after Isabella is gone in the morning, Alex thinks that this is the last he will see of her. But, several months down the track, Isabella is back and not only that, announces that she’s pregnant and he’s the daddy.
Being a “nice guy”, Alex declares that have to get married and this turns out to be the easy part. How do you live for the rest of your life with someone that you’ve only ever spent a couple of hours and barely know? And then of course there’s the inevitable meeting of : The parents! Imagine this if you will : rich yuppies on Alex’s side and Spanish farmers on Isabella’s side. Talk about a mismatch, but then so are Alex & Isabella.
As a comedy, Fools Rush In, falls flat but as a romance film it works quite well.
THE EXTRAS
* Theatrical Trailer :
* Bonus Trailers : It Could Happen To You, Sleepless In Seatle and My Best Friend’s Wedding.
CONCLUSION
The trailer makes this film out to be much more comedic than it really is and whilst it’s an ok film it would have been much better served as being a straight romance intead.
