This is a story about 3 couples that each have an unfaithful partner and the mayhem this can cause. Rebecca is a mentally ill suicidal ballerina who is unable to be faithful to her boyfriend Peter because she does not love him. Peter is an actor in advertising and the face of many products such as Peanut Butter. He is madly in love with Rebecca and the thought of her with another man is enough to send him off the deep end.
Dag is Peter’s best friend and work partner. He writes the advertising commercials that Peter appears in. Dag has an affair with Rebecca one night when they are both oversees on business.
Hallie is Dag’s girlfriend, she is a videographer and works with both Peter and Dag. Hallie is so upset by Dag’s affair that she leaves him, and ends up meeting Andre.
Andre and Carlene are friends of Rebecca’s and whilst happily married, both are content to play the field. The story revolves around an illicit kiss between Rebecca and Dag, this kiss led to an affair and the consequences of the kiss can never be understated. There is a twisted tale of entwined lives and coincidences that follows and the story then returns to the original kiss and tells another tale of what would have happened with out the affair.
This is a weird, off beat, black comedy. At times the story was too involved to follow but intriguing enough to keep me watching. Improbable, to say the least, this is the type of story where you just have to be swept away with it all and in ORDER to enjoy this movie you will have to ignore all the details.
