The Man FROM The Alamo
General Sam Houston is sent in to recruit an army for the free state of Texas, after General Santa Anna took control of Mexico and formed a Militant Government. With all the men at the Alamo there is no one back home to look after the women and children so the men draw straws and send one man back. John is the unlucky one who is sent home and branded a coward by everyone when he returns. John is hated by the whole town, for leaving the Alamo, and they do not know of the pact the men made to send one man home. John’s hometown is under attack and the women and children are evacuated with the help of the army, but when the army is recalled John is the only able bodied man left to help the townspeople.
This DVD is a rough and tumble old Hollywood western. It’s one of the movies you used to see on the TV on a lazy Sunday afternoon and is perfect for that. A tale of triumph over adversity, and not a bad way to spend an hour and a half unwinding on the weekend.
