The Man Who Knew Too Little

I just loved this movie- it was really funny. Bill Murray stars as Wallace Ritchie and American man, who visits his brother in London. Wallace’s brother is not expecting him and is HAVING an important business dinner so he pays for Wallace to attend an interactive theatre for 3 hours. Wallace arrives early at the telephone booth to receive his instructions for the theatre event, he inadvertently answers an incorrect phone call and gets caught up in “real life espionage”.

Wallace is a bumbling fool who lucks his way through a series of events, in the style of inspector Clueso. He narrowly misses getting shot, nearly shoots someone else, and is totally unaware that the havoc that is going on around him is real.

There are lots of laughs in this movie and Bill Murray is fantastic. It was easy to be swept away by the absolute stupidity and mayhem that make this movie so enjoyable. The plot is based on a whole heap of co-incidences and is cleverly brought to life by Bill Murray and Joanne Whalley who plays the token love interest.
