Based on the true story of 50’s rock singer / songwriter Frankie Lymon, this is the story of the 3 women he married. Frankie’s famous song “Why Do Fools Fall in Love” has made a big comeback and the success of the song leaves Frankies widow wondering where all the song royalties are going. She contacts Morris Levy Frankies old manager who agrees to pay some money to Frankies estate. The publicity that this payout causes brings out 2 more “widows”. The fight for Frankies estate is on.

Elizabeth (Mrs Lymon number one) married Frankie and lived with him for a few years before Frankie’s drug habit tore them apart. Mrs Lymon number two is Zola a singer with the platters who married Frankie in Mexico not long after he left Elizabeth. Zola went on a tour of Europe for a few months and Frankie, drugged out of his mind destroyed Zola’s house and left. He spent some time in the army and it was here that he met and married Emira a school teacher from Georgia. Frankie was pretty good at getting married but not too good at divorcing, at the time of his death he was still married to all three women. The case was taken to court and the fate of the estate of Frankie Lymon was left up to a judge. All three women were able to tell their story in court.
