The only two extras are scene selection (there are 30 different scenes in total) and a short featurette about the film (runs for 5 minutes only). In the featurette, we hear from the main actors, the composer and the director.

CONCLUSION

Mr. Holland’s Opus is the story of Glenn Holland, a Music Teacher at John F. Kennedy High School from his first day in the classroom until his retirement. He was initially reluctant to start teaching as it is not his passion in life. His main ambition was to compose his own opus. However, along the way he manages to change the life of many of his students but at the same time neglecting his own family, his wife Iris and son Cole who is profoundly deaf. This is a feel good movie that will not leave a dry eye in the house when Mr. Holland’s students come back to the school to farewell him from the job he loves.
