8 Seconds

8 Seconds is based on the true story of Lane Frost, world champion bull rider, and the extraordinary life he led. Lane was born into a rodeo family, his father was a bronco riding champion, so everyone knew it was only a matter of time before Lane was to ride his way into the record books.

To score points in a rodeo you must stay on the bull for 8 seconds, and Lane had a real flair for knowing which way the bull would ride. Lane was a handsome and extremely talented young man, all the cowboys wanted to be like him. But Lane had something more, he never forgot where he came from and made a point of speaking to all his fans, with particularly making time for his younger fans.

Lane met and married Kellie Kyle on his rise to fame and though they had their share of problems, they had a strong relationship. This DVD tells the story of a remarkable determination to be the best and achieve all your goals.

I really didn’t know what to expect of this DVD I didn’t even realise it was a true story until I watched the movie, but I have to admit about 3 minutes into the start I was hooked! This is a fabulous story and the characters really make the movie come to life. Lane Frost was an incredible person and his story is retold beautifully. Luke Perry is brilliant and was so believable as Lane, he gives a credible performance that just adds to an already great movie. Entertaining for the whole 100 minutes this is a DVD you could watch a few times and still find it enjoyable.
