She’s All That
I am a real sucker for mushy movies and this one was just what I was looking for when then was “nothing” on the box last night. Zack (played by Freddie Prinze Jr.) is the most perfect boy in the school, he is dating the Taylor, perfect girl and they are a sure bet for homecoming king and queen until Taylor decides she needs to climb the social ladder. Taylor dumps Zack in front of the whole school for Brock Hudson a reality TV star.
Zack is so upset he claims that any girl could take Taylor’s place. Zack goes one further and bets his friend Dean that he could turn any girl into the prom queen.
So with the bet in place and all the rules decided Dean chooses Laney Boggs a shy and quiet art student with grotty clothes and black-rimmed glasses and no friends. Zack seeks Laney’s time and friendship and before long has fallen head over heels in love. Can Zack turn Laney into the most popular girl on campus before the prom night? & Even more importantly will Zack learn in time that Laney means more to him than winning a stupid bet ever could?
A great plot combines with brilliant performances from the actors, to create a beautiful romantic comedy. I really enjoyed this one, at times it was predictable but you pretty much have to expect that with this genre of DVD. Loads of fun, get this one for a great night in!
