Well I wasn?t expecting a great deal from Freddy and Jason but it wasn?t half as bad as expected. There were a few tense moments and the story wasn?t too over the top. It did start off with the naked, big-breasted girl swimming in the lake by herself waiting for the boyfriend. Soon enough she was dead and the movie started.

Freddy Vs Jason is based around a group of high school girls and their boyfriends trying to put a stop to the violent killings of their mates. Problem number one, they have to try to stop Jason killing people. Problem two, they must not fall asleep or else Freddy may kill them. Then there?s the fact the cops know all about Freddy and they?re trying to cover the whole thing up.

The main girls father is also involved in the whole cover-up. He?s helping the local insanity hospital trying to combat the dream problem with a secret drug that block out your dreams. There was a lot of blood and I haven?t seen someone’s head being taken off with a huge machete but I have a feeling that blood doesn?t spray up ten feet in the air, I could be wrong though.

In the end I was hoping Jason would win and made me want to watch the old movies again. I do wonder how the thought of putting the two horror killers did come about; I guess the writer was one of those people who has a debate with his mates about whether Spiderman or Superman would win in a fight. The acting wasn?t too unbelievable either. They obviously didn?t want it to be one of the movies in ten years time branded one of those really bad b-grade movies and I?m glad to say I didn?t see it as one. I just hope they don?t try to make it one of those movies that gets worse every time a sequel comes out, please!

CONCLUSION

When a close group of friends are torn apart by horrific killings, they band together to stop the evil that haunts their every move, awake or asleep. Will the dwindling group stop it before they?re all die a nasty death?
