I wont go into graphic details of each of the 16 stories (we would be here all day!), but for those of you new to “Spot” he is a cute little yellow animated puppy with a brown spot on his side. Spot has a patient clever mother and father who love Spot and he has heaps of animal friends that he plays with. Spot is on a constant quest for knowledge and is learning important things like how to count and all about shapes and colours, while having fun with his family and friends. (I want to live in Spot World!).

In the everyday life of Spot…Spot visits a farm and finds baby animals, he goes to the circus and sees the elephant, he has a sleep over at a friends house etc., etc., etc. One of the kids favourites was “Spot makes a Cake”. All of the episodes follow the same format and are very “happy” stories. Full of colour and fun, but are cleverly educational as well.

Spot has many adventures with his friends - this DVD is based on the original books crested by Eric Hill, if you have not read these books to your kids I can highly recommend them they are easy to read and usually have secret hidden things for your kids to discover as you read. My kids loved the books and were happy to find that the DVD is faithfully converted from them. This is another animation that lacks some sophistication but is not left wanting because of it. Spot is well done and has already stood the test of time. My 9 year old has the “Spot Goes to the Farm” video when he was 3 and now my 3 year old is enjoying it on DVD. I love how ABC Kids are slowly re-releasing their collection onto DVD allowing parents to “update” the favourites in the home collection. My poor old video of “Spot Goes to the Farm” is a little worse for wear and just about worn out, so I was pleased to

update! This is the sort of gift that is perfect for a small child and they will treasure it!
