Paws

I was intrigued as to what this DVD would be as I had not heard of the movie, but I must say I was pleasantly surprised to find this is a clever and extremely funny movie perfect for family entertainment.

PC a little terrier dog witnesses the murder of his master Alex, and is on the run from the perpetrator. Alex was a computer programmer and murdered for a programme he has written and saved on a disc before he died he asked PC to take the disc to Susie. PC takes the disc and goes into hiding. When PC is nearly run over by Stephen he is taken into Stephens home to recuperate. Zac is Stephen’s stepson and he definitely doesn’t want a dog!

Across the road from Zac, lives Susie an old friend of Alex’s, when they learns that Alex is dead, Zac decides to keep PC. PC is trying to get the disc to Susie but Zac has taken it and put it away thinking it was one of his. PC is frustrated and thinks he cannot ever get the disc back when he discovers a computer program that Zac has built that will allow him to talk. Zac fixes up a contraption for PC and they begin to talk to each other. Now all PC has to do is explain to Zac about the disc, trouble is, he has to be sure he can trust Zac first, so the adventure begins.

This is a funny DVD & there are lots of laughs, Billy Connolly has a great voice and a fantastic sense of comedic timing that shines in this movie. Directed mainly at children and rated G this is a great movie for the whole family. All four of my kids, aged 3 to 9 enjoyed this movie; it held their attention for the entire show and is now a favourite! The plot was quite simple (although it is hard to explain) coupled with excellent acting and a great setting; this was a really enjoyable movie.

THE EXTRAS

Movie Trailer - basically just an add for the movie

Cast and crew interviews - interesting but nothing earth shattering

Dog training- footage of how they trained the dogs that appeared in this movie

Making of Paws- this was cool, footage of the actual making of the movie, the actors and the crew putting it all together, and some of the problems they overcome.

Photo Gallery - stills of people and things in the movie. I see no real added value in a photo gallery but whatever…

CONCLUSION

PC a little terrier dog witnesses the murder of his master Alex, and is on the run from the perpetrator. Billy Connolly is the voice of that dog. I must say I was pleasantly surprised to find this is a clever and extremely funny movie perfect for family entertainment.
