The Risen

It took a little while to get into this movie but once it picked up the pace it was quite good. When Amanda is rushed to hospital with problems with her baby things go from bad to worse. While the doctors are trying to save her, the baby dies and poor Amanda needs to be brought back to life on the operating table. When she comes back, she isn?t the same person and the people around her get more and more frustrated with who she is. Her husband can?t understand why she makes a fool out of him at one of his very important social functions for his all boys? school.

Her sister really tries hard to understand the changes she went through while experiencing her near death experience and tries really hard to help her husband understand. But no one does and when Amanda constantly runs into a young boy she can?t help feel that he has something to do with her coming back to life. She is sent to see a psychiatrist who doesn?t listen to the reoccurring nightmares Amanda has of an old priest and the young boy. She fights with the idea that she isn?t really dead and looks for the boy for reassurance. It all takes time though and in the end it is all explained.

THE EXTRAS

If you have time to waste and really enjoyed the movie then the trailer and behind the scenes will interest. Interviews with the cast and crew don?t help sell this movie.

CONCLUSION

When Amanda is rushed to hospital with complications with her baby, she experiences something most of us never will, a near death experience. With the way this story is told it?s probably a good thing too, extra confusion and frustration is something we could have less of and this movie shows how much it can effect us.
