Pingu in Paradise

Pingu is a fun loving little penguin who lives at home with his mum and dad. He loves to play with his friends and family and often his sense of fun and adventure lands him in hot water. For those of you who are new to the Adventures of Pingu; there is not a lot of dialogue; most of the action and atmosphere on these DVD?s is created with music, sound, and clever visual comedy. Pingu has a very elastic and moveable face, he and his family use facial expressions to convey their feelings and thoughts.

This is a fast paced up beat tempo production providing a visual feast for young children and the lack of dialogue is really a plus. There are ten episodes on this DVD each lasting approx 5 minutes ? the entire DVD only runs approx 50 minutes. The clever use of props and well-timed action will mean that kids will love to watch this over and over again.

On this DVD kids will see what happens to Pingu when he refuses to share his toys or builds a really high tower and be treated to a fishing trip with Pingu. They will also experience Pingu?s joy at being able to help his Grandfather out and his pain when a bigger penguin teases him.

The bright colours of the Pingu location, set against a white snowy background that make up Pingu?s home are a fabulous contrast to the black and white colours of Pingu and his friends. This DVD is sure to stimulate the imagination of any small child and allow them to experience emotions and consequences without words.

My 4-year-old daughter loves Pingu (she has been a fan for a few years now) and she sat and happily watched all ten episodes with me one morning after the other kids had gone to school. We are used to seeing Pingu on the ABC TV only for 5 minutes between shows so it was a nice change to get a big dose of Pingu all at once - I had thought she would tire of the repetition after a few episodes ? the theme song playing every 5 mins etc, but she seemed to really enjoy it.

This DVD is available from the ABC shops and makes a great gift for a younger child or just to add to a home collection. These days? kids want variety; and Pingu is a very different style to the other excessively wordy shows available and makes a good change of pace for kids. Pingu In Paradise on DVD is well worth the trip to the ABC shop! Make sure you check out some of the other DVD?s available there. The ABC have built up a reputation for producing high quality children?s entertainment and anything with the ABC logo on it is sure to please.

CONCLUSION

10 adventures of the Pingu the little penguin and his friends, jammed into one DVD. Talk about fantastic value from the ABC shop, for this cute animation that will keep your youngsters well entertained.
