A devastating war in future Earth has finally subsided when a small training outpost near Jupiter is attacked by an unknown force. The Commander orders an immediate evacuation but only he, his cadets and a few others are able to survive the attack. Finding themselves on a large research station they blindly jump through hyperspace and arrive at a mysterious Ice Planet in an unchartered universe. The crew of the research station and their new guests desperately try to work out where they are and where is Earth when their attacker arrives to wreak havoc again. But this time the heroes have the mysterious Ice Planet on their side.

Star Trek fans beware. Star Gate fans beware. Battlestar Galatica fans beware. Even Babylon 5 fans beware, for Science fiction has never been so poorly put together for TV. This German production with a real American influence is uninspired and embarassing. Whilst the visual effects aren?t too bad and the sets plausible, the script is exceedingly average and the acting? ? well just take a look at the list of no names above. Apparently this is to be a pilot to a five season show but hopefully all investors involved have reconsidered as their money would be better spent anywhere but here.

Avoid at all costs, about of dysentery would be more pleasing than a night in watching this.

THE EXTRAS

None were on the preview disc thank God. Perhaps a director?s commentary would be appropriate with the director apologising profusely for his talentless cast.

CONCLUSION
