Any Disney fan who has not seen this will be disappointed until they do, this is definitely one to add to the home collection for young kids so don?t go another day without it!

The story begins on the ?Little Patch of Heaven? Range. Times are tough for little ranches all over this county because a wicked gang of cattle rustlers have been stealing all the livestock and forcing landholders into bankruptcy. The flow on of this has meant that a cow named Maggie is sent to ?The Little Patch of Heaven? Ranch whilst her owner looks for a way out of this mess.

The owner of this ranch is an eccentric old woman; she has built this farm up from scratch and loves each and every animal on it like they were her very own family. When she runs into financial trouble and the bank is going to foreclose it seems her only option is to sell up some of the animals - but she won?t hear of it.

Maggie the show cow decides it?s time for the animals to take action and together with the two other cows from the Little Patch of Heaven; they leave the ranch to try to catch the Rustler and his gang. A whole host of adventure awaits and the group of three cows make some pretty powerful friends along the way. Their scheme to rid the world of Alameda Slim and the Willy Brothers may seem to be harebrained but it just might work.

This is a fun movie full of great one-liners fantastic animation fabulous characters and music to die for! The entire production is full of the things we have come to expect form a Disney production. I watched this with my 4 kids (me for the first time and my kids had seen it about 4 times before) I was amazed that they still laughed at funny stuff and really enjoyed the production even though it was certainly not new to them. I really see where DVD comes into it?s own in the field of Kids DVD- they will watch something over and over and enjoy it each time; making a reasonably priced DVD great value for money when you consider how many times it will actually get played.

?Home on the Range? has great colour both in the actual animation and picture itself as well as characters and the sound track. The plot is simple enough but the depth of the underlying story is magical- 73 minutes of the timeless tale of; the quest for justice, the pursuit of happiness, the meaning of true friendship etc etc etc. This is a funny show with some great comedic moments and is a movie that will find a place in the hearts of most kids young and old. The great bonus features ( I will discuss them further ?) make this a complete entertainment package, this is a DVD that you can safely buy knowing it will be a winner!

THE EXTRAS

Well once again Disney has impressed and delighted both my children and myself with a brilliant selection of bonus features that really do add value to the purchase of a great story.

Deleted scenes- the stuff they didn?t have time to put in ? but should have put it in anyway- my kids love to see deleted scenes when they find something they like they crave more and this feature seems to keep them satisfied for a little while at least.

Music Video of the song from the movie ?anytime you need a friend? complete with film clip. Great stuff!

The Jokes Coral ? Arguable some of the oldest sicked jokes ever told but this was a winner in our house ? the repertoire of poor quality jokes increased markedly after watching this section.

Yodel Mania ? a virtual how to on yodelling complete with instructions and useless information on why it works! ? It?s all in the epiglottis!

Audio Commentary more Blah Blah Blah from the makers a tad boring for my kids but if you are into this sort of thing??.

Bonus short ? A dairy tale: The three little pigs

Now this quick flick was fun- a twisted tale of the three little pigs complete with the ?unofficial? new ending to this timeless tale!
