This is a collection of clips from the BBC comedy show that featured Dave Allen, an Irish comic who mixes monologues with one-liners and sketch comedy. There?s not a lot I can say about the whole plot as if you like good comedy then you will probably like Dave. I can remember when the show was on in the 70s and early 80s and there are a couple of jokes that I remembered vividly as they were retold in this DVD.

Dave is a funny man and the variety of styles showcases his great talent. He generally sits on his stool with a cigarette in one hand and a drink close by. Dave does a magnificent drunk and he tells some really god drunk jokes as well as having his own swipe at religion and religious figures. He can do sight gags and takes the mickey out of pompous Poms as well as anyone. I can do no more than recommend that you go and get this as you will enjoy the DVD and the good, old-fashioned belly laughs you will get out of it.
