Kathleen plays with Jup-Jup (a puppet) and explains where the South Pole is and why you need to rug up in the cold, next she puts on a penguin suit and teaches the audience a penguin song and dance. After some footage of kids at play and some rally clever and colourful animation the Hi-5gang find them selves in the rain and the wet, the audience is invited to play along with Charlie as she splash?s in puddle and Nathan as he jumps in the rain. Tim encourages kids to pretend to be the blowing wind and Kellie climbs a snow covered mountain right up to the top! Intermingles with all of this is great footage of kids in the snow the wet and the cold all rugged up and playing, and a few singing and dancing lessons chucked in for extra value ? this is a really light hearted look at winter and is thoroughly entertaining.

As with all the Hi-5DVD?s there is plenty going on and this is a disc that can (and will) be watched over and over again and each time the viewer could find something they missed the first time round. Snow party is very choreographed and structured but this is something kids seem to really enjoy about Hi-5 DVD?s they follow a well worn formula and the disc provides 52minutes of pure enjoyment for young kids. I just love to hate Hi-5 but my 5 year old thinks they are fantastic! And whilst I?ll admit the talent level is somewhat dubious and the acting (what acting???) ??they really do steal the hearts and attention of younger kids. My kids love this disc and like I?ve said many times over the best way to not get irritated by Hi-5 is to have a few of their discs and change them regularly. This way you will at least have variety.

If you have a Hi-5 fan in the home this disc will compliment the home collection beautifully and even if you have a child who like to sing and dance then this disc will get them out of their chairs and bopping along.

What Hi-5 disc would be complete without the obligatory sing a long ? this disc has three great songs to choose from; Three wishes Feelings & it?s a party - maybe a new song every now and a gain wouldn?t hurt???

Story time ? Two stories to choose from Sparkle the unicorn & Barb the mountain goat riveting stuff? not ? but once again my easy to please kids loved them both

My 5 year old spent quite a while just exploring the menu there is plenty to do and see this is really a well don?t bonus section and I have to begrudgingly congratulate the team on a well planed and produced DVD.

Perfect for those cold winter days inside Hi-5 have created a Snow Party Disc! Jammed full with the usual Hi-5 antics and fun this is a fast paced program that young Hi-5 fans will love! As with all good kids programs imagination is a major key and the Hi-5 group encourage their audience to play along and imagine themselves in the snow.
