This new Basil Brush DVD includes three hilarious new episodes from Basil Brush. Jam packed full of pranks and gags these episodes are loosely woven together with a few funny stories of from the life and times of the Basil Brush gang. The first episode is about Molly, she freaks out when she realises it?s only a few weeks till her school has its sports carnival and she is not fit enough to compete, Basil and his gang decide to help Molly train but they go too far when they tell her not to hang out with her new friends- or do they?

Episode two is a funny tale of a visit to an old building, when they discover a secret passage into an ancient burial chamber they think it?s a wonderful find. Until of course the protector of the grave turns up and tries to scare them away. Not even Basil is prepared to chase of evil Mummies from ancient Egypt.

Episode three is a hilarious tale of lost treasure and misplaced loyalties, Basils evil cousin Mortimer soon shows his true colours when the family fortune is at stake, and Basil will need the help and loyalty of all his friends to win this battle.

This is a relatively short disc running for just under 85 minutes, and my kids found the time just flew by when they were watching it. Basil Brush is a niche market and I have to admit not all kids enjoy his zany antics and crazy sense of humour but this is a disc my boys (aged 10 and 7) thoroughly enjoyed, and have watched it several times since we added it to our collection.

The disc is presented in 4:3 aspect ratios and includes crisp clear stereo sound and high picture definition. If you have a fan of Basil Brush in the family then this is a must have disc! The episodes are funny light hearted and there are the obligatory sick jokes for your kids to learn, and retell. This is a disc that is heaps of fun.

THE EXTRAS

Once again the ABC have included a wonderful assortment of bonus features, make sure you take the time to check out these they are great!

Out takes ? the usual stuff of bad timing and laughing during filming, funny stiff ? my kids enjoyed this!

Basils Penalty kicks game ? great for competitive boys to try to beat each other! This game is played with the remote control, is easily accessed and easy to play, even by younger children.

Photo gallery still ? this was al tad boring ? I never did see the point of still photos on a DVD!

This feature includes interviews with the makers of the series, and some footage and interviews of the main characters. The usual Blah Blah Blah in this sort of DVD.
