LG Electronics are reportedly set announce a new dual format HD-DVD/Blu-ray player at the U.S. Consumer Electronics Show this week. Whil eit is expected that this player will be more expensive than a standard Blu-ray or HD-DVD player, it does represent a possible first step towards increasing consumer confidence in the HD format.
