					<description>This has been on the cards for a while but a friend who is a Blu-ray product manager for one of the larger electronics manufactureres tells me that in order to license Blu-ray technology, you must agree not to produce devices that support HD-DVD.

Have they changed their minds - or has someone figured out that this is a little anti-competitive?</description>

BTW LG have just announced a Universal player which plays both HD DVD and Blu-ray.  I wonder what impact this will have on the Hidef 'wars'</description>
