Paramout/Dreamworks HD DVD deal includes US$150m of incentives


The New York Times has published an article confirming that Paramount were offered US$150 million in cash and advertising incentives in exchange for their HD DVD only move. They also noted that the exclusivity deal only lasts for 18 months.

No press release from Paramount but that figure has been widely mentioned in everything from tech blogs to the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal.

ok - so it’s basically unconfirmed hearsay?
