300 on blu-ray did significantly better in its first week. Based on the sales results of other titles, I think it's fair to say if Paramount had continued to release on both formats the blu-ray version would have sold twice as many as the HD DVD version.

I just can't see a future for the HD DVD format. Early next year after Christmas I expect it will be even further behind blu-ray.</description>
