<description>Walmart too is now going blu-ray exclusive. This would seem to lend some credence to the Toshiba rumour:

<description>Netflix has announced they will exclusively stock blu-ray disc, phasing out HD-DVD over the course of this year. Netflix press release:

http://netflix.mediaroom.com/index.php?s=43&#38;item=265

In addition, Best Buy is now apparently going to "officially" recommend blu-ray disc over HD-DVD to its customers. Yahoo article:

http://biz.yahoo.com/bw/080211/20080211006384.html?.v=1

Both announcements are pretty significant for the US market. Hopefully Universal and Paramount will start releasing on blu-ray sooner rather than later. I'd be quite tempted by Heroes, Star Trek: TOS, and Beowulf on blu-ray.</description>
